Safety Razor Travel Case

A hard case for your safety razor, sized for the razor and the blades that go with it. The razor sits in a fitted cradle with its head held off the floor, two slots take a spare pack of DE blades each, and a magnet snaps the lid shut. It goes in the wash bag, and nothing in it rattles or gets bent.

Built around the razor

Most razor cases are a pouch or a foam box that fits nothing in particular. This one is shaped inside around a double edge razor. The head sits in its own cradle, the handle lies in V-shaped seats, and a keeper at the tail end stops it sliding. When you close the lid it holds the razor in place from above as well.

The two slots on either side of the handle each take a standard tuck pack of DE blades, so a week away or a month away needs no extra packing. One small vent in each half lets a rinsed razor finish drying instead of sitting sealed in the damp.

Questions, answered

Will my safety razor fit?

Most double edge safety razors up to about 114mm long fit, including three-piece and butterfly designs. If you're not sure about a long-handled razor, message us its length and we'll check it.

How many razor blades does it hold?

There are two slots, and each takes one tuck pack of DE blades. Pack sizes differ slightly between brands, but most standard 5- and 10-blade tuck packs fit.

Can I take a safety razor on a plane?

Loose razor blades aren't allowed in carry-on luggage in Australia and most other countries. Pack the case with its blades in your checked bag. If you're flying carry-on only, take the blade out of the razor and leave the blade packs at home. Rules vary by airline, so check before you fly.

Can I put the razor away wet?

Rinse it and shake it off first. The vents let the last of the moisture escape, but it's best to let the case air out once you've unpacked.

Is it waterproof?

No. The case is vented on purpose, so moisture can get out instead of being sealed in with the blade.
