The $99 kit covers a short-to-medium beard — oil, balm, comb and caddy. The $149 Complete kit adds the wash block and a matched fragrance, which starts to matter past about 2cm when the beard needs washing and shaping rather than just conditioning. A kit is not a growth kit, and we would rather say so: there is no serum and no gummy in the box, because nothing rubbed on the skin adds follicles.
