What Makes a Perfume Last
Longevity is mostly concentration — how much fragrance oil is actually in the bottle. Most designer eau de parfums sit between 15 and 20%. An eau de toilette can be as low as 5%. Every Stuga scent is blended at 20–25%, so a long-lasting perfume shouldn't fade by mid-afternoon. The roll-on oil lasts longest of the three formats, because there's no alcohol in it to flash off.
Pick by Scent, Not by Label
- Sweet and gourmand — passionfruit, orange zest, vanilla. Vanilla No. 313, our best seller, and Apple No. 341. Browse vanilla and gourmand.
- Soft florals — peony, rose, jasmine. Peony No. 211, Orange Blossom No. 207 and Desert Rose No. 209. Browse floral and jasmine.
- Fresh and citrus — bergamot, grapefruit, white tea. Bergamot No. 353, White Tea No. 203 and Neroli No. 437. Browse fresh and citrus.
- Warm and rich — saffron, amber, honey. Amber No. 235 and Honey No. 325. Browse amber and oriental.
Perfume Oils and Alcohol-Free Sprays
Every scent comes three ways at the same strength: classic eau de parfum spray, alcohol-free spray, or roll-on perfume oil. The oil sits closer to the skin and lasts longest. The alcohol-free spray suits sensitive skin. Same blend in all three — only the carrier changes.
Perfume as a Gift
The 10ml Traveller ($35) is the honest way to gift a fragrance you haven't smelled on the person wearing it. Full strength, a few weeks of daily wear, and nobody has to blind-buy a 50ml bottle on a guess. Works just as well if you're buying for yourself and can't choose.
“Women's” Is Where You Start, Not Who It's For
Nothing on this page is formulated for women. These are the scents women pick most often, which is a different claim entirely. Plenty of men wear Vanilla No. 313 — sweet, gourmand fragrance has been worn by men in Europe for decades. Neroli No. 437 sells about evenly. If a scent works on your skin, it's yours. Here's why we don't split fragrance by gender — and the men's page is the same idea from the other side.
