The top of the ladder. Silver-tip badger is the finest grade made — tips like silk with just enough spring to whip up a cloud-dense, effortless lather. This is the one you buy once and keep for life: the best shave there is, every morning, on a handle turned by hand.
Made to be kept
It's an heirloom as much as a tool — silver-tip badger on a hand-turned timber handle, the kind of brush you keep for decades and pass on. Each handle is turned by hand from solid timber in Moss Vale, sealed to live by the basin and deepen in colour over the years, no two the same. It makes a genuine keepsake gift: the brush someone reaches for every single morning.
The Wave Stand comes with every brush, in matte charcoal, so the bristles dry the right way up. A $25 value, in the box — nothing else to buy.
A silver-tip brush lasts a decade or more with simple care — a better shave every morning for years. At this level, it's the cheapest luxury you'll own.
Not sure which brush?
This is the top of the range. If you're weighing it up against the others — each step down is a little less dense and a little firmer, but every one builds a proper lather. Here's the ladder.

Why it works
- Silver-tip badger — the softest tips and the finest grade available
- Exceptional water retention — turns good soap into rich, protective lather with almost no effort
- Hand-turned, sealed Australian timber — made to age beautifully
- Wave stand included — keeps the bristles drying right
- Hand-turned by one person in Moss Vale — the care reserved for heirlooms
How to build a great lather
New to a shaving brush, or buying for someone who is? A rich lather takes about a minute.
- Soak the brush in warm water for a minute to soften the bristles while you wet your face.
- Load the brush — swirl it over your shaving soap for 15–20 seconds, until the brush is full of soap.
- Build the lather, working the brush in circles and adding a few drops of water at a time until it turns thick and glossy. You'll get a richer, more even lather in a bowl — there's room to whip air through it.
- Swirl and strike it back and forth across your face to lay down a slick, protective layer, then shave. Rinse the brush, shake it out and stand it bristles-down on the Wave to dry.

Questions, answered
- Why silver tip?
- It's the softest, most water-hungry grade — the densest lather for the least effort. The finest of all badger bristle.
- Are silver tip badger brushes worth it?
- For a daily shaver, yes — top-grade badger builds the richest lather with the least effort and lasts a decade or more. Buy once, keep for life.
- How is it different from the Premium?
- Denser, softer and more water-hungry — silver tip is the top grade of badger there is. A richer lather with even less effort, graded to last a lifetime.
- What is Wild Grain Huon?
- Our most characterful Huon pine, hand-selected for knots, swirl and figure. One of one, chosen by what the timber gives us.
- Where do the bristles come from?
- Our bristles come from the traditional heartlands of wet-shaving — the United Kingdom, China and Germany — through trusted suppliers we've worked with for over 15 years. Every brush is then made, finished and packed by hand in Moss Vale.
- How do I care for it?
- Rinse, shake out the water and store it bristles-up to dry between shaves. See the Brush Care Guide.
Understated mastery, unmistakably Australian — a legacy piece for the ritual it serves.
The brush is most definitely luxury, I am so impressed with the density and water holding capacity of the badger bristle. It has stepped up my daily shaving ritual, I love it.

Lovely soft brush, my recipient said nothing else was as soft. Nice to have an individually crafted piece.
