Men's Grooming Gifts

Grooming gifts made by hand in one Moss Vale studio — shaving kits, beard kits, artisan soap and unisex perfume. Nothing here is a bundled-up supermarket product with a bow on it. Add wrapping and a printed message card at checkout for $10, or a gift card from $50 if you'd rather they picked.

The buyer's guide

Everything worth knowing before you choose.

What do you actually give a bloke who has everything?

Something he uses every morning and would never buy himself. That's the whole rule, and it knocks out most of what's on the shelf in December.

Three things clear it here.

A shaving kitHe shaves most mornings whatever he thinks of shaving. A brush, artisan soap and a stand turn a chore into five minutes he doesn't mind. From $99.
A beard kitIf he has a beard he is already putting something on it, and it is almost certainly a supermarket bottle he grabbed once. From $99.
A perfumeEvery scent in the range is unisex and blended at 20–25%, so it's still there at 5pm. A 10ml is $35 and is a real bottle, not a sample vial.
Shaving gift or beard gift? Check this first

It decides everything, and it takes one look at a photo.

Clean shaven, or shaves around a beard — a shaving kit. If he has never used a brush and soap, go for one of the kits that includes a stand and bowl rather than a single piece he then has to build a setup around.

Full beard — oil, balm and a comb. The beard kits come scent-matched through the whole box so nothing fights.

Genuinely no idea — perfume works either way, and so does a gift card.

What's in a men's grooming gift set?

Depends which one, and the honest version is worth knowing before you spend.

A shaving set covers the lather side — brush, stand and a puck of artisan soap. Right if he already owns a razor. A complete shaving kit adds the razor, a lathering bowl and a blade sampler, so there is nothing missing on the first morning. The Premium and Luxury Magic kits move the stand and bowl to solid timber and step the brush up to badger and silver-tip badger.

A beard grooming kit is oil, styling balm, a sandalwood comb with a case and a caddy to hold it. The Complete Beard Kit adds a beard wash block and a matching 10ml fragrance.

What is not in any of them: sachets, miniatures, or a fourth item added to make the box look full.

How much should you spend?

Every price on this page is a finished thing, not a filler.

$25 – $40Goat milk body soap at $25, or a puck of artisan shaving soap from $29.95. A 10ml perfume is $35. Small, but made rather than bought.
$99The two that get given most: the Shaving Set and the Beard Grooming Kit. Both arrive boxed.
$149 – $299The Complete Beard Kit at $149, or the Complete Shaving Kit at $299 — badger brush, safety razor, teak bowl, soap and the Grand Wave timber stand.
$349 – $499Solid timber throughout. The Luxury Magic Kit is the top of it: silver-tip badger brush, teak Magic stand and bowl, razor, soap and a matched 30ml eau de parfum.
Will it turn up looking like a gift?

Every kit ships boxed as standard, with a QR-linked starter guide inside — it does not arrive as loose bits in a satchel.

Add gift wrapping and a printed message card for $10 on the cart page. You choose the card design and type the message, and it is printed here and packed with the order rather than posted separately. Orders go out from Moss Vale in one to two days.

If the gift is going straight to them rather than to you, say so in the order notes and the receipt stays out of the box.

Ordering for Christmas

Everything on this page is made here, so the honest advice is order in the first half of December rather than the last. Kits are built and boxed by one person, and the fresh-blended items — beard oil, balm, perfume — are made when the order comes in, not pulled off a shelf.

If you are close to the date, put it in the order notes and you will get a straight answer about whether it lands in time rather than a guess.

What if you have no idea what he'd like?

Two options that are not a cop-out.

A gift card from $50 to $500 — emailed to them on a date you pick with your own message, or sent to you to hand over. It never expires and works on everything.

Or a 10ml perfume at $35. Every scent is unisex and it is a fortnight of full-strength daily wear, which is long enough to properly decide. If they love it, the full bottle is waiting. The scent quiz takes thirty seconds and will point you at the right one.

Who makes this?

One person, in a studio in Moss Vale, NSW. The brushes are set into solid timber here, the soap is poured in small batches, the perfume is blended, filled and labelled here, and the stands are our own design and 3D printed in the same room.

The safety razors, blades and combs are the exception — those are bought in and chosen over years of testing, not made here. It matters when you are giving something and want to be able to say where it came from. The back story is on the maker page.
