Amber No. 235 is a warm gourmand perfume built on three notes: lychee, amberwood and spun sugar. Lychee opens it bright and faintly floral — the fruit itself rather than anything candied. Amberwood is the spine, glowing and resinous, the note the bottle is named for and the one everything else leans on. Spun sugar threads sweetness through the middle, a warm burnt-sugar note that reads as dessert without ever turning sticky. Everything else in the blend — saffron, sandalwood, benzoin, tonka bean and balsamic resins — is there to hold those three up. Hand-blended in the Southern Highlands, and it wears the same on anyone. Formerly sold as Bliss — same blend, same bottle, new name.

The scent

The first breath is lychee and spun sugar — bright, faintly floral fruit against a warm sugar haze, with saffron threaded underneath it.
