The Grand Wave, at the heart of it
Most kits give you a bag of parts. This one gives you a home for them. The Grand Wave is our largest, most considered stand — a hand-shaped hardwood base paired with a sculptural matte-black wave. The wave cradles your brush upright to dry and holds its shape, the front curve rests your safety razor between shaves, and a neat slot keeps a spare pack of blades exactly where you need them — not rattling around a drawer.
The handturned timber base and the tastefully designed matte-black wave are made for each other — warm natural grain against clean, sculptural lines. The result is strong, striking and quietly premium: a proper piece of bench furniture you're happy to leave on show. Turned and finished by hand here in the Southern Highlands, each base carries its own grain and character, so no two are quite alike, and it only improves with age.
Built-in blade storageA slot in the timber base holds a full pack of double-edge blades — tidy, close at hand, and part of what makes this a genuinely complete setup rather than a loose pile of gear.

The Grand Wave base is hand-shaped from solid hardwood in your choice of two timbers. Natural timber means natural variation — grain, colour and character differ from piece to piece. That's the point. Pick the wood that suits your bench and the rest of your gear.
Olive Wood

- How is this different from the Premium Magic Kit?
- The stand. This kit uses the traditional Grand Wave stand, where the brush sits upright in the wave to dry. The Premium Magic Kit ($349) uses the magic suspension stand, where the brush appears to hang unsupported from the arch. Both come with a premium badger brush.
- Can I choose the timber?
- Yes — the Grand Wave base comes in Teak or Olive Wood. Choose your timber at checkout. As it's hand-shaped from natural wood, the grain is unique to your piece.
