Christmas Gifts for Men in Australia (2026): Handmade Gifts He'll Actually Use
Most Christmas gifts for men end up in the same drawer as last year's socks. The ones that get used are the things he'd never buy himself but reaches for every morning once he has them. That's most of what we make. Everything below is handmade in a one-person studio in Moss Vale, NSW, sorted by budget, with an honest note on who each one actually suits.

Under $50: Stocking Fillers and Secret Santa
The trap at this price is buying something that looks like a gift and works like rubbish. Everything here is the same product we sell at full size, not a cut-down "gift version".
- Artisan Shaving Soap, from $35. Our best seller, by a long way. A hard coconut-oil puck, made by hand in Moss Vale, that whips into a thick, cushioning lather. If he already uses a brush, this is the safest gift on the list.
- Beard Oil, from $29.95. Blended to order from sweet almond, macadamia and apricot kernel. Stops the itch, softens coarse hair, no shine. Our second-best-selling grooming product.
- A 10ml perfume Traveller, from $40. Every one of our men's colognes comes in a 10ml size. It's a real eau de parfum, not a sample vial, and it's the low-risk way to give a scent when you don't know his taste. More on picking one below.
- Beard Wash Block, $29.95. A solid beard shampoo with goat milk. Lasts longer than a bottle and won't leak in a wash bag.
- Wooden Beard Comb, $35. Sandalwood or rosewood, anti-static, with a protective case. Pocket-sized.
- Shave Oil, from $29.95. For the bloke whose skin hates shaving. Goes under the lather, or he can shave straight off it.
- Goat Milk Body Soap, $25. Gentle, for dry and sensitive skin, in an 80g tin.
Genuine stocking fillers, $20: the Blade Bank for anyone already using a safety razor, or the Razor Perch, a shower razor holder that keeps the razor off the shower ledge.
$50 to $150: The Proper Present
This is where most people land, and it's where the boxed kits live. A kit beats a pile of separate things because it's matched: the scent of the oil matches the balm, the brush fits the stand, and it arrives looking like a gift.
For the beard
The Beard Grooming Kit ($99) is beard oil, styling balm, a wooden comb and a caddy to keep it all on the bench, scent-matched in one box. If you want to go further, the Complete Beard Kit ($149) adds the beard wash and a matching 10ml fragrance, so he smells the same from beard to collar. Our beard gift guide goes deeper on choosing one.
For the bloke still using cartridges
The DE Safety Razor Set ($99) is a butterfly safety razor, a Razor Rest Pro stand with blade storage, DE blades and a travel case. It's the gift that keeps paying him back. A safety razor blade costs cents, a cartridge costs dollars, and he'll break even in a couple of months. We ran the numbers in our safety razor vs cartridge comparison. Just the razor? The WÖLFE 97 is $59.
For the full traditional shave
The Shaving Set ($99) is a handmade brush, a Wave stand and a puck of artisan soap. It's the lathering half of a wet shave. Pair it with a razor and he has everything. A brush on its own makes a good gift too: the Premium Badger Shaving Brush starts at $149 with its stand, on solid teak, olive or Tasmanian Huon pine.
The Big One: $250 and Up
For a dad, a partner, or a milestone birthday that happens to land at Christmas. These are heirloom things. A badger brush on a timber handle lasts decades if he looks after it.
- Complete Shaving Kit, $299. A Grand Wave timber stand, badger brush, teak bowl, safety razor and artisan soap. Everything, nothing to add.
- Premium Magic Shaving Kit, $349. A solid teak stand that suspends the brush, plus a badger brush, teak bowl, safety razor and soap.
- Luxury Magic Shaving Kit, $499. A Silvertip badger brush, the finest grade there is, on a solid timber stand, with a matched 30ml eau de parfum. The most we make, and it looks it.
- Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush, from $249. For the man who already wet shaves and has a brush he's quietly outgrown.

Giving Perfume When You Don't Know His Taste
Fragrance is the gift people are most scared of getting wrong, and fair enough. Two things make it easier. First, start with a 10ml Traveller. It's a real bottle of eau de parfum, and if he loves it, the full size is an easy next birthday. Second, buy by type, not by name. Every scent we make is unisex. These are the ones men reach for most:
- Clean and safe: Sandalwood No. 413. Sandalwood, black pepper and lime peel. Our best-selling scent, and the one we'd pick if you know nothing.
- Warm and spicy: Cinnamon No. 425. Cinnamon bark, pink pepper and mahogany. Right for Christmas, and level with Sandalwood for bottles sold this year.
- Dark and smoky: Tobacco Leaf No. 407. Tobacco leaf, spiced plum and guaiac wood. For evenings.
- Dry woods: Cedarwood No. 443. Cedarwood, aged patchouli and basil.
- Fresh, for an Australian summer: Bergamot No. 353. Calabrian bergamot, grapefruit and petitgrain.
Every scent also comes as an alcohol-free spray and a roll-on oil. That's handy if he has sensitive skin or puts it on straight after shaving. The whole range is on the men's cologne page.
Why Handmade Beats the Supermarket Gift Pack
We'll be straight with you: a $30 supermarket gift pack is mostly packaging. Plastic tray, cardboard sleeve, a body wash he already owns. It's designed to look generous on a shelf in December.
What we make is the other way round. The soap is poured by hand, the oils are blended to order, the brush handles are turned from solid timber, and the perfume is blended, filled and labelled in the same room. Every one is designed to be used up and bought again, not admired once. It's also all made in the Southern Highlands of NSW, so when you buy here, the money stays in a small Australian workshop.
Wrapping, Cards and Picking It Up in Person
- Gift wrapping and a printed message card can be added at checkout, so it arrives ready to go under the tree.
- Free shipping on orders over $99.
- Can't decide? A gift card lets him pick.
- Rather smell it first? The whole range is on the stall at The Rocks Christmas markets in Sydney, Saturdays and Sundays from mid-November.
Still Stuck?
Get him the Shaving Set if he shaves, the Beard Grooming Kit if he doesn't, or a 10ml Sandalwood No. 413 if you're not sure either way.
Questions, Answered
What is a good Christmas gift for a man who has everything?
Something he'd never buy himself but uses every day. A Silvertip badger shaving brush or the Luxury Magic Shaving Kit is the top end. A 10ml bottle of handmade perfume is the easy end. Both get used, not stored.
What can I get a man for Christmas under $50?
Artisan shaving soap (from $35), beard oil (from $29.95), a wooden beard comb ($35), a beard wash block ($29.95) or a 10ml eau de parfum Traveller (from $40). All are full products, not gift-sized samples.
Are these gifts made in Australia?
Yes. The soaps, oils, balms, perfume, brush handles and timber stands are made by hand in Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The safety razors and razor blades are sourced, not made here.
Is perfume a safe gift if I don't know what he likes?
Start with a 10ml Traveller of a crowd-pleaser like Sandalwood No. 413. It's a real eau de parfum at a low price, and if he loves it, the full bottle is next year's gift sorted.
Can I get it gift wrapped?
Yes. Gift wrapping and a printed personal message card can be added at checkout.
